SDR Training Timetable

This timetable outlines our approach to enrolling and training new SDRs over four weeks. It assumes no previous SDR experience, but candidates hired for the correct traits and culture fit.

What does the template give you?

This template provides a four-week timetable to lay out a typical training schedule for a new SDR. It assumes no previous experience in the role, or any familiarity of sales tech / RevOps tools, and so incorporates onboarding and skilling in those platforms.

The template breaks down the working week into mornings and afternoons, over a four week period:

  • Week 1: Foundations

  • Week 2: Exploration

  • Week 3: Action

  • Week 4: Outcomes

It organises the training sessions by four key areas of focus:

  1. Onboarding: Setting expectations and focus

  2. Training: Teaching and demonstrating skills

  3. Doing: Trying and learning by experience

  4. Reflecting: Consolidating for continuous learning

It covers skills including:

  • Research

  • Using AI

  • Handling blocker and objections

  • Using sales enablement tools

  • Cold calling

  • LinkedIn outreach

  • Email outreach

  • Rebuttals and follow up

  • Making a powerful impression

  • Reflection and improvement
